Spring COVID-19 boosters 2024

The seasonal Covid-19 vaccination programme will open again this spring.

Eligible cohorts in spring 2024:

• adults aged 75 years and over
• residents in care homes for older adults
• individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed

This includes those who turn 75 years old by 30 June 2024. These people will be eligible for a vaccination at any point in the campaign. People who are admitted to an older adult care home or become immunosuppressed by 30 June are also eligible.

The Spring Covid-19 booster vaccinations started in April, with older adult care homes and house bound patients followed by other eligible cohorts as set out by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). People will be invited for their booster, which they can book an appointment for using the NHS app or the national booking system.

Please note: Please do not call Adur Health Partnership for an appointment as we will not be administering Covid vaccines this spring.

Please call 119 free of charge to book with your nearest provider. Some pharmacies will be offering walk in appointments, however, as we have not been advised which High Street pharmacies will be doing so, please enquire directly with them. Care home and housebound patients will be looked after separately, and we are waiting to hear how these patients will receive their Covid vaccines.
